Welcome to the National Study of Asian and Pacific Islander Catholics in the US (NSAPICUS)

In 2014-2015, the US Catholic Conference of Bishops commissioned a national study of Asian and Pacific Islander Catholics in the US, who numbering over 4 million and comprising more than 10 different Asian ethnic groups. Sociologists Tricia Bruce (Maryville College), Jerry Z. Park (Baylor University), and Stephen Cherry (University of Houston-Clear Lake) conducted a national survey, interviewed numerous clergy and focus groups to produce a report which is now available online.

In 2016-2017 Drs. Bruce, Park, and Cherry are conducting interviews to further gain insights into the experiences and attitudes of Asian and Pacific Islander American Catholics. This

    • Hi Ms. Aloese, we would like to have a Samoan translation. At the time we created the survey we only had the translators we could find. If you know someone who would be willing to translate the survey into Samoan, send me a message and we can get one started.
